The Rushian Matrix

Ok...ok...its no secret that I'm a huge admirer of DB's synch creations so its obvious that I'm very happy to see Dave's The Rushian Matrix get the credit it deserves. One would be hard pressed to find a better example of such a well put together a/v manipulated sync. Even if Rush isn't your particular cup of tea, the sync occurences that run rampant through this sync should impress any sync'er. Even the ending credits to The Rushian Matrix stand out as an amazing example of brilliant synchronicity patchwork. I did an impromptu review months ago, heres a snipet.

The Rushian Matrix synch is an incredible creation by Dave Bytor. Dave not only uses the music of Rush to synch with THE MATRIX but also fuses dialogue from the film as well!

Track 1: Distant Early Warning

"The world weighs on my shoulders"- With the world & your very life at risk everytime you enter the Matrix....I'm sure it feels that way

"Who can face the knowledge that the truth is not the truth"- speaks for itself.....

Track 2: Marathon
The music starts when Neo shows his weapons & the security guard says "Holy Shit!"

"More then just survival"- This is just one of the lines that goes with the lobby shootout scene so perfectly.

"Like a streak of lightning that flashes & fades"- Neo does his famous "back bend" move as the rooftop agent fires at him.

Track 3: Jacobs Ladder

"The clouds prepare for battle"- Agent Smith fires at Neo as he & Trinity battle the agents to save Morpheus.

"Thunderheads are rolling"- this sounds off as Neo uses the choppers guns to fire back at agent Smith.

"At once the clouds are parted"- After Neo pulls Trinity up from the chopper crash, this only solidifies Morpheus' belief that Neo is The One". Great song that makes this whole scene "flow".

Track 4: Bytor & The Snowdog
This scene is after Trinity exits the subway & agent Smith appears.

"Bytor & the Snowdog square for battle"- The evil Lord Bytor (Smith) & Snowdog (Neo)duke it out.

"The battle over the dust is clearing"- Neo, back from the dead, sees the world as it really is with new eyes. (This is after he has left the subway & is shot by Smith)

"Bytor is defeated & retreats to hell"- Neo destroys Agent Smith, the other agents flea.

"The land of the overworld is saved again"- for now.....

Setup info for THE RUSHIAN MATRIX is well explained on Bytors website. Thanks again for all the energy you put into what you've shared with me Dave!!

Again, simply a great sync! As it stands there are only two sync films I think rival or I find even more entertaining then the original film released & those two are Stegokitty's "Darkest City" & Dave's "The Rushian Matrix". I'm glad I chose the red pill!
