I'm not going to tackle a new definition except to reinforce that to me synchronicities should still be repeatable to others in a manual fashion as described in your old definition, whether you have one cue or 100 cues involved. Take away this repeatability factor and I'm not sure you have synchronicity still. But I'm not in a position really to further discuss here one way or the other.
Sorry about the passing of Arthur C. Clark. 2001: A Space Odyssey is perhaps the most perfect of science fiction movies.
