First, props for also mentioning the things that don't go so well with a sync rather than just concentrating on the positives.

There's nothing like getting a vibe about an album working with a film and finding that it works out. The only thing that beats it is getting a vibe that a filmmaker deliberately synced to the music or that a musician deliberately synced to a film ... it's a great feeling!

That's what I'm suggesting. When you have the lyrics:

"take me by the hand and lead me through the land" and you have a guy putting his hand into the watery Stargate before zooming through the galaxy, you might consider it something more than chance.

On my blog, I've done a video for the sync to show you what I mean.

I'd also mention that the sync also matches up to the exact same lyrics as in my sync version to Jupitor and Beyond, giving the sync additional credibility. It's also available on my my blog.

The round watery portal is a clue to Snow White and Pink Floyd's sync of Echoes to that film (also on my Blog).

I don't know that there is a full film sync to Meddle but surely there is a full album sync. If you want some additional ideas, let me know.
