Welcome to the new Synchronicity Arkive!

It's been a while, I know, but the Arkive is back in business. Rather than offer a long explanation or sad story about what happened to take the site offline (short version=drama), I'd like to focus on the future. Since the Arkive went offline back in 2008, the synching community fragmented a lot. More than it had at other, quieter periods. I think the Arkive played a pretty key role in forming and keeping the community together originally. Honestly it's the biggest thing I missed about being Arkiver of the Synchronicity Arkive.

So... it took a while but I finally reached a place where I could bring the site back. And thanks to some great help, the new site has a lot of functionality to take advantage of. A lot of the old material that I have, from the original Arkive, is in storage still... but rest assured it will be making an appearance here as soon as I can get to it.

In the meantime, I'd like to go ahead and open the site up. Hopefully it can help bring the synching community back together.

Forum Posting Policy

You are welcome to post or comment. We like discussion threads with a diversity of thoughts and opinions and prefer to take a light hand at forum moderation. Your post/comment is more likely to be edited, moderated or deleted if it contains phobic content (based on race, sex, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, etc), is a personal attack or threat toward another user, is entirely unrelated to the entry topic, has such poor grammar and spelling that it annoys us, is an obvious piece of trollage, or if we find it or you obnoxious and decide everyone has had enough. Don’t like it? Don’t comment. Simple. A good rule of thumb is to comment as if the person to whom you are commenting is standing in front of you, is built like a linebacker, and has both a short temper and excellent legal representation (credit to John Scalzi for that awesome analogy). Questions/concerns/complaints, contact

Welcome to the new Synchronicity Arkive. This is one of the oldest website communities devoted to the mashing up of audio and video. Originally the community called that "audio/visual synchronicity". In 1997, one of our favorites, the match between the movie The Wizard Of Oz and Pink Floyd's seminal album Dark Side Of The Moon, went viral. And that kickstarted our little community. Now, after a long absence, the Arkive is back online and ready to serve that community again.
