Have you got a synchronicity site of your own? Post it here... I'm going to try and compile a database of all of the currently online sites.

With over 200 syncs from Pink Floyd, The Alan Parsons Project, The Beatles, Radiohead, Oasis, Rush, Yes, Deep Purple, and The Flaming Lips, my website chronicles the search for syncs over the last 16 years.

Visit MovieSyncs.com for the sync instructions.

Also, a great site for viewing syncs is MoviesSynced.com run by Tyler Buffett.

Andrew Wendland

I've recently revisited my synch find after about a 10 year hiatus. Picking up where Pink Floyd DSOTM leaves off, we give it a hardcore electronic ending with The Prodigy's The Fat of the Land.

There's stuff in every song. From the absurd; the Tin Man dancing to Smack my Bitch Up to the Wicked Witch of the West dying perfectly to Firestarter. And the entire album ends perfectly to our hero returning to Kansas, where you switch back to the original movie audio and Dorothy speaks of her grand adventure.

It's been dubbed by friends and I as The Other End of the Rainbow. Because of so many other alternate endings suggested for the original DSOTM beginning, this is the other ending.

I've updated the site graphics and added some videos. A instructional for the overall synching for both DSOTM and TFOTL CD's to Oz, a 5 minute "Trailer" and a 15 minute "Synopsis" for our ending.

If you're up for it, please watch the videos. There's a little bit of reading but not too bad.

Fifteen Minute "Synopsis": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVDSAtwIMrA

If you like The Prodigy and the original Dark Side of Oz experience, you won't be disappointed with this synchronicity.

Thanks

A wonderfully made website with mainly Pink Floyd syncs (otheres too!) exists at http://rabid_bovine_s.tripod.com/saucerfulofsynchs.html No doubt made by a misunderstood genius. I also have a new site in the works at http://www.i-m.mx/FunkyDung/SaucerfulOfSyncs/home.html

Forum Posting Policy

You are welcome to post or comment. We like discussion threads with a diversity of thoughts and opinions and prefer to take a light hand at forum moderation. Your post/comment is more likely to be edited, moderated or deleted if it contains phobic content (based on race, sex, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, etc), is a personal attack or threat toward another user, is entirely unrelated to the entry topic, has such poor grammar and spelling that it annoys us, is an obvious piece of trollage, or if we find it or you obnoxious and decide everyone has had enough. Don’t like it? Don’t comment. Simple. A good rule of thumb is to comment as if the person to whom you are commenting is standing in front of you, is built like a linebacker, and has both a short temper and excellent legal representation (credit to John Scalzi for that awesome analogy). Hi

Welcome to the new Synchronicity Arkive. This is one of the oldest website communities devoted to the mashing up of audio and video. Originally the community called that "audio/visual synchronicity". In 1997, one of our favorites, the match between the movie The Wizard Of Oz and Pink Floyd's seminal album Dark Side Of The Moon, went viral. And that kickstarted our little community. Now, after a long absence, the Arkive is back online and ready to serve that community again.
