What brings you here? Are you just curious? Have you known about the "Dark Side of Oz" and wanted to check out the Arkive. Or do you feel like the music is talking to you and the music HAS to go with that certain movie.

Elsewhere, people are confused, and think they are music videos, and yell at me for not "working hard enough on them" because they "don't match up better, like other music videos". >__>

Also, in running the site, it's taught me quite about how people perceive things, how different perception systems operate, and about the philosophies that drive us as sentient beings. Synching itself has turned me on to some interesting intellectual and cultural things I wouldn't necessarily have chosen without that prodding. And it's also taught me a lot about the act of creativity, and triggered my insatiable interest in copyright and culture and their intersection.

I enjoy matching music to movies because it is like opening a present. There are always unexpected surprises. I think our brains grow with happy surprises. I try to use movies and music I already like. So if the synch is a bust, I still have some neat stuff. I mostly use music and movies I already own.

Arkiver and others in the community have put much effort into web sites and I am trying to contribute in my limited way. Eclipsed Moon's yellow page far surpasses anything I could do for a site.
