Great work, friend! For me, this cartoon strikes a bit close to home, as I am a direct descendent of the Hatfields. My mother runs a genealogy site devoted to the Hatfields and kin. I can't wait to get her reaction to your synch!

...it took some time for me to realize that you were referring to comments and ratings on youtube. will do. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on 'the fragile hideaway'. at any rate,my wife is out of town for a few days and I look forward to trying some synchs and possibly experimenting with some ideas I have had on the back burner. between work shifts, of course.

im not sure how to get them

im not sure how to get them up on youtube (never used it)

id would try some animatrix ones as they are short-ish animations (8 minutes or so) but i only have that on VHS. i dont really have any DVDs suitable for synching really.

Dude, try some public domain sources. Arkiver posted quite a few links. Remember your submission must be made with public domain sources. You might not be able to use the most popular music (Floyd, Beatles, etc,etc) or videos (Matrix, Anime, blah, blah, blah) BUT there is some GREAT public domain music and videos out there. Exiperiment a bit, get it over to Arkiver, and I'm sure he'll post it for you on youtube. Lots of luck!

Creative Commons...

I just watched a CG short, about 10 minutes, that's licensed with Creative Commons as purely open content.... it might make a good video source. It probably also helps that I have no idea what was going on in the story at all, so it seems like it'd make a good abstract pairing. I know when we used to synch up to CG animation in college with the Mind's Eye videos, they always worked well.

the problem im having is that im not familar with the visual clips im downloading off those sites you suggested or the songs - so i was going by song titles that realte to the subject of clips but kinda gave up.

im not working till 5pm tomorrow so might give it a go then, and check out that new link

i liked the first song, like the bits with sign and the lyrics when the guys uop the tree, and the start of the third when shes blowing the whistle
