JAWS LIKE SWIMMING- A synch by Jaydingo

| Featured Synchs
Mood:
Approx. Running Time:
0.25 hours

Ingredients

  • Jaws (1975) dvd
  • Morphine "Like Swimming" cd (1997)
Setup Instructions
On repeat, simply play the cd the second the Universal logo fades from screen. In my opinion, this plays alot like DSotR in the sense that the 1st play through is amazing, 2nd is great, the 3rd....not so much. The 1st play through alone has over 40 hard synch occurances! I hope the community here at The Arkive will give my little discovery a viewing of their own. Enjoy & your gonna need a bigger boat!
Additional Notes

"Your charms are working on me"- as the young man chases Chrissie down the beach.

-song ends as Chrissie enters the water-

"Give me a kiss & wave goodbye" - Chrissie swims away from her persuer to her doom. Waving motion as she treads water.

"Wave goodbye"- second waving motion while treading.

toothless

Thats cool. Too bad, but I bet it wont elude you long. I love that film.

Endless possibilities

Maybe I could use "with teeth" to put an end to my search trying to find a synch for The Howling? I'd hate to use 80's hair band Dokken's album "Tooth & Nail"....e-gad!! Maybe it would go with another dark favorite of mine, The Hunger?

well...

I hate to say it, but I tried a hunger/with teeth combination a couple of weeks ago and it really didn't work well. ~L

Squalis Synching :)

Dont forget Deep Blue Sea, Great White(the movie), A Sharks Tail, & Open Water. Jaws The Revenge...that one was brutal! My friend Matt actually stood up in the theater & yelled "Sharks dont have vocal chords morons!" Good times.

open water

that film messed with my head. After living on a ship in the pacific for awhile and going through all the rescue training and such, the thought of being stranded out in the ocean really freaks me out a bit. Great ideas, though. Too bad I don't own any of those films. I also thought about snake, gator, and vampire films.

Synchs "with teeth"

Awesome LR...run with it! It would be cool to see what you can add to the film. I would definitely welcome the synch on dvd...seriously! Thanks for checking JLS out & I'm glad you dig it! Talk soon.

with teeth

I tried the nine inch nails/jaws combo. It was a no-go. Perhaps one of the other films. Jaws the revenge or the 3d one...or maybe not.

"jaws like swimming" is phenomenal!

I agree! This is one very entertaining watch, J... Fantastic. I have synched this one and burned it to DVD now, which I will send you soon.
I also had a thought for a sequel or answer synch utilizing nine inch nails "with teeth" CD.

don't shoot-i am a man

i have watched this a few

Thanks Karl

Thanks alot for checking out "JLS" Karl. Coming from you those words are a huge compliment. I haven't run into too many people that dont like or at least appreciate Morphines music. For a band consisting of sax, drums, & a two string slide bass guitar the moods they evoke are simply perplexing. I'm still working on my "Cure for Planes, Trains, & Automobiles" synch using the hilarious film "Planes, Trains, & Automobiles" & Morphines "Cure for Pain" cd. We'll see....

Get a Bigger Boat Out Here ...(for the Money)

I had the pleasure of experiencing Jaydingo's idea amalgamating Morphine's "Like Swimming" with the 1975 movie "Jaws" and was thrilled by the combination. I had not seen this movie since it first came out in the theaters and was hesitant to see this blood bath again. But the rewards were many. The mood and the lyrics match for much of the 1st play and the repeat is pretty decent too. Some of the lyrics don't make sense and some good transitions are missed. I give the 1st play of Jaydingo's "Jaws Like Swimming" an "A".

On a side note, the music is relaxed and catchy (and hypnotic). I couldn't stop singing some of the songs in my head. My wife actually stayed in the room for this synch because she thought the music was decent. AND my first listen to the music was in simultaneity with the movie "Jaws". Very impressive!

"Yeah, but we could radio in and get a bigger boat out here...."

Says the Police Chief to Quint in "Jaws"

Jaws Like Swimming Sync

I've been a fan of the Darkside of The Rainbow sync film for sometime & recently saw this at a friends house at a party I was attending. "JayDingo" though I was introduced by his real name, educated the room on how to set up a sync film this one in particular. I had not heard much by Morphine but knew the film well enough to throughly enjoy the aspects of this great sync. I would have to give his efforts on this an A & his ability to pour perfect "no head" beer an A+.

I had actually posted about that synch a few months ago. I have turned alot of folks onto it & had a showing at a friends place recently & it went off great! As far as not accepting emails...thats new to me. Jaydingo is very accessable! Let me know if you have further problems emailing me. Peas.

wow

this quickly became the 'featured synch'. congrats jay! I still haven't located my morphine cd, so I haven't been able to see this one. I would have contacted you directly, as usual, but you no longer seem to be accepting emails. talk to you later...

-I also thought it was fitting that this song "Swing it low" synched well due to the fact that she just came from her sons funeral....swing low sweet cheriot!-

-end of 1st play through- Smiling :) Smiling
