Synchronicity Arkive

Black T-shirts

Site Issues/Feedback

Just figured I'd call some attention to it, since it is one of those things that helps support the Synchronicity Arkive...

I've made up a new t-shirt design, this one on CafePress' black tee, of the "new" Arkive logo (eye in TV). It's a pretty high quality image actually. The tee is pretty basic, just that logo (no text), on black. But I liked the design. I changed the Arkive CafePress store link, in Sponsors... but I figured it was worth calling out some more attention...

This is one of those things that helps support the site, and goes a long way towards me having more time to put into the site. I figured this is a bit better design than some of my earlier attempts with CafePress.

Yes to podcasts cd's!

Um...Yes to podcast cd's! And the t-shirt idea is a win-win. Finacial support for the Synch Arch while sporting some snazzy gear. Smiling Put me down for a 2x "baby doll" tee (I kid...I kid...) No really I could see getting a few tee shirts, definitely!

original stuff...

Speaking of which, I have been toying with the idea of various ways to help support the Arkive a bit better, that would also really offer something (as opposed to ads) to the community. Since the podcasts are done and have been so well received, one thing I thought of was to make "high quality" (HQ being relative, of course, since it's not like they were really studio-recorded or anything) versions on CD available, for those who might be interested. CafePress isn't quite as good at the whole CD making process... but Lulu.com is, plus they also offer a pretty nifty book publishing option (which opened up some additional ideas, for on down the road).

I guess what I'm curious about is, would there be some interest there? If there's any at all, it's not like there's much overhead in doing it, since the podcasts are done already, like I said. I thought it does also let the community have something more tangible, which might be kind of fun. I know I used the .wav files (high-er quality) to burn some CDs for my parents, who were curious to listen to the podcasts, but not quite saavy enough to listen to .mp3s. Maybe others would like this option?

Thoughts?
