Prophet's Of The Crazy 8-8 (Thrill Bill mini-synch)

Mood:
atmospheric & busy
Approx. Running Time:
0.5 hours

Ingredients

  • Queen / "A Night at the Opera" cd (1975)
  • Kill Bill (vol.1) dvd (2005)
Setup Instructions
*This was fun. This synch utilizes chapters 15 & 16 of Tarantino's Kill Bill (vol.1)
and Queen's "The Prophet's Song" played back to back. Strangely, "The Prophet's Song" &
Chapters 15 & 16 all three clock in at 8 minutes 20 seconds each.

The setup: (Chapter 15)
Pause Queens "Night at the Opera" cd on track #8 (The Prophet's Song)

Cue Kill Bill (vol.1) to chapter 15 (title/The Crazy 88's). Push play on the movie.
You'll see Johnny Mo (head of the Crazy 88's) run down the hallway. Push play on the cd
immediately after he stops on the steps & yells.

*This is nice. The music flows well with the scene.

"Grey is the face of every mortal"- the film fades from color to black & white.

The scene ends with the bride (Uma Thurman) exiting the bllod bath in the dining area
to find O-Ren Ishii (Cottonmouth).

The setup: (Chapter 16)
Chapter 16 (title/That really was a Hattori Hanso sword) starts with The Bride walking
towards the sliding Japanese doors. Push play on track 8 (The Prophet's Song) the moment
Uma slides the doors wide open. If your quick enough, you shouldn't have to stop the film before
cueing track 8 again.

*Chapter 16 ends with the song as The Bride crosses O-Ren off her "Death List 5".

"Track 8 twice....."8-8"....CRAZY!!! Eye-wink

Hmmmm....

Thanks for that, glad you dug it. No...just coincidence but my wife has never seen Queen (or a Queen tribute band) & this is getting alot of hype. I will definitely look into screening some synchs at 4th street live but again with Lexington its who you know. Thanks for the tip.
