I've found YET ANOTHER TV show that synchronises with music albums. But rather than have a subject for each one I've decided to list them all together in one.

Except for LOST and THE SECRET WORLD OF ALEX MACK which are my favourite shows and are superb for synchronicity, I've found MANY albums that synchronise, and there are special episodes that synchronise with EVERY album apparently, as well as other TV show soundtracks, church services, etc. Perhaps EVERYTHING even! So I'll keep updating them in their own subjects from time to time.

I'll list all I've found so far with other TV shows in this first message, and update as I find more. And please others let me know of any you find too with these or any other TV shows.

Start album and episode at exactly the same time, so the seconds on both count up together. Include any opening credits and 'previously on...' segments always. If the album ends before the episode does, then restart the album at the point it ends. Sometimes somebody will look at their watch at the exact moment an album ends and restarts, so you can use this as your guide.

You don't USUALLY play the end credits - at the point when they appear start the episode again from the very beginning instead, but sometimes the end credits are included on later repeat plays. With some the album ends during the end credits after one or two episode plays, but with most they go on for as long as you want, then you can end the episode any time you like and let the current song end with the end credits playing - extremely often even the end credits will synchronise with the album soundtrack at whatever point you decide to finish.

Dark Psych Of The Moon

And another TV show, 'Psych'. Episode 3.03 synchronises with Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd. This is the 'Daredevil!' episode.

The opening track synchronises brilliantly with the guy riding his bike balanced on the ramp shaped like a big wave, flying high through the hole then crashing and trying to race himself towards an early grave.

The screaming in 'The great gig in the sky' synchronises with the roaring motorcycle chase scene, then when it becomes quiet and less powerful Gus arrives on his tiny motorcycle.

The background talking in 'Money' and other songs synchronises so it looks like the characters are actually saying the lines, which fit in perfectly with the story. This often happens when such albums synchronise and can be very funny.

I also wanted to point out yet more stunning Stargate SG1 synchronicity. The 200th episode called '200' is amazing, very funny episode. But also it has synchronised fantastically with every album I've tried so far, which has been about nine. Most are very constant throughout, but a couple had slow portions - but overall every album was excellent and highly entertaining. I think this may be one of those special 'magic' episodes that will synchronise with anything, it needs much more examination.

I think the Stargate SG1 synchronicities deserve their own subject, this episode alone does. But I've already started one about the stargate SG1 film 'Ark Of Truth', so I'll list the synchronicties I find there. I'll also list any Stargate Atlantis ones I find as well, as I've just found an episode that synchronises with The Final Cut by Pink Floyd (episode called 'The seed').

Rocky Horror in the caves

Just wanted to say a little about the latest Stargate SG1 synchronicity I found. Episode 'Morpheus' synchronises with the soundtrack album for the film 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'.

This album is well worth owning because it synchronises fantastically with many things. Certainly I've seen it will probably synchronise with a lot more Stargate SG1 episodes. The clue that made me try it was the line "flow morphia slow". Morphia is another name for morphine and they are name after Morpheus, the god of dreams - the episode is all about people falling asleep, and they are trying to stay awake, taking enormous amounts of drugs and eventually hallucinating. Yet I did not realise how extremely well the album coincides with the episode, especially with the creepy creature which comes alive when touched with living flesh, and crawls into your brain, making you want to sleep, eating from the inside and growing rapidly until they burst something. They begin as tiny insects crawling on the planet's face. It is a creepy episode, a bit like a short horror film. Also going on is they are chasing the single living creature which is immune to the insects at night, hoping it will give them the cure. Here are some lyrics so you see how well it synchronises.

"Touch-a touch-a touch-a touch me, I want to feel dirty.
Thrill me, chill me, fulfill me creature of the night.
And if anything grows..."

"I'm a bee with a deadly sting.
You get a hit and your mind goes PING!"

"And superheroes come to feast,
to taste the flesh not yet deceased.
And all I know is still the beast is feeding.
And crawling on the planet's face,
some insects called the human race."

Etc!

This is excellent virtually from start to finish. This album and this episode will certainly be involved in more synchronicities, especially the episode with creepy albums. I'll have a look and see what I can find.

Reeves & Merlin

Just found another synchronicity with Stargate SG1. The episode called 'Camelot' synchronises with the Vic Reeves album 'I Will Cure You'.

This is quite obvious, the song 'Dizzy' at the start synchronises wonderfully with the opening credits with the watery stargate spinning and all the spinning related lyrics. Eg."I'm going round in circles" and "like a whirlpool". And "It's so hard to talk to you with fellers hanging round you all the time", it focuses on Sam Carter who is usually the only female there, always surrounded by fellers. She is smart enough to control the stargates too, "Girl you've got control of me", "It's you girl making it spin".

The song 'Black night' made it obvious as well, especially the repeating line "Black knight is a long way from home" as there is a black knight who magically appears to protect a place, yet he doesn't appear in that place but far away instead.

Or the end with the religious Ori followers attacking, quoting from the book of Origin, and Daniel quotes it back at them. This synchronises with the last song 'Abide with me', which contains quotes from the Bible. It goes brilliantly with the end as it is about disaster suddenly coming and death swiftly approaching as everyone gets wiped out by the Ori followers. The album ends a few seconds before the episode does as at the last scene the pregnant woman dressed in blue watches, who was apparently magically impregnated by the Ori gods. I would say 'virgin birth' but I doubt she was a virgin before it happened to her. Smiling

It has some slow portions, but when it does synchronise it is excellent. 'Summer of '75' was funny synchronised with the scene with Sam and the alien with her blue and its completely black eyes, "My eyes were blue, while my eyes were black"

Hairy Merlin is the "friend and a hairy companion" and "his tail would wag in the summer breeze" is the pendulum Daniel mentions which he figures out represents the pendant that hangs around his neck. Smiling

Overall this is excellent. This album is usually very funny when it synchronises. I've seen much better examples, but this is very enjoyable.

Hehe, the banners and flags, the 'sword in the stone' "sheave the sacrificial knives", the massacre at the end, etc. The episode also synchronises with Pink Floyd's album The Final Cut, the episode ends as the last line of the album is sung, "We were all equal in the end."

This was absolutely AWESOME, one of the best I've seen so far with this album. Audio and video synchronised extremely constantly and it is wonderful to watch. As usual better if you know what's going on. This is a very high action and low 'sitting around talking' episode as well, so there are only a few brief portions of low synchronicity.

One of my favourite lines was as the villagers are scared of the black knight which appears every time someone goes into Merlin's library, which is just Merlin's illusion, but still deadly, and the lyrics say...
"Night after night, going round and round my brain,
his dream is driving me insane." Smiling

Some more examples...

"Make them do what you want them to.
Make them laugh, make them cry.
Make them lay down and die."
Daniel persuades the old man to do what he wants him to, which results in him being killed by the black knight.

Note: "The old man died", line from Dark Side Of The Moon. Likely this episode also will synchronise with more albums and possibly that one too. When he dies and everyone gathers round to mourn him the lyrics say...
"Goodbye Max, goodbye ma.
After the service when you're walking slowly to the car.
And the silver in her hair shines in the cold novemeber air.
You hear the tolling bell, and touch the silk in your lapel,
and as the teardrops rise to meet the comfort of the band..."

"Let's go and get pissed" when the giant stargate erupts like a massive urination.

"Trying to clout these little ingrates into shape,
when I was their age all the lights went out."
The old man leads the young team into the dark room where all the lights are off, and childish Cam shines his torch directly at the camera - into your eyes, which is a bit dazzling. Smiling

"Thought I ought to bear my naked feelings,
thought I ought to tear the curtain down.
I held the blade in trembling hands prepared to make it, but...
just then the 'phone rang, and I never had the nerve to make the final cut."
Daniel tries to explain to the people again that the magic is not real and expose the machine as the source, but for a second time he is teleported away and appears to just vanish like magic.

"It's the only connection they feel" as the girl throws King Arthur's sword to Cam, which is the only thing which will connect with the black knight, as every other weapon goes through him without damage.

Why can't I post my own synchs?

Only I can edit

Just explain it here and give it a review, with some examples of how audio and video coincide, especially amusing and excellent ones, and I'll add it to the list. Or start your own subject if you've found a TV show with many stunning synchronicities, like Lost and The Secret World Of Alex Mack.

Stargate SG1

My previous experiments with the TV show Stargate SG1 have not been very successful, however I recently found the feature film 'Ark Of Truth' synchronises with the Pink Floyd album 'Meddle' extremely well.

Even when there are obvious seeming clues, like the episode called '2001' SHOULD synchronise with Meddle, but doesn't. Or the Pink Floyd album 'Wish You Were Here' has a line
"Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky"
This is sung in an episode where a guy has a terrfified look in his eyes as he is trying to run away from a black hole in the sky, but the rest of the episode/album barely synchronises at all. It's not a great album for synchronicity anyway.

But I've finally found an episode that synchronises, I think is in season 9, it's called 'Stronghold'. It may be a special episode, I've found three albums that synchronise wonderfully with it...

Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd.
The Final Cut by Pink Floyd.
Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan.

The two Pink Floyd albums are approximately the same length as the episode, but the Bob Dylan album is longer, so the episode restarts when it ends as usual. However if you miss out track 7 'Lily, Rosemary And The Jack Of Hearts' it still synchronises, but in a different way, and the album ends when the episode ends.

(With Blood On The Tracks playing the full album, when the episode starts again the lyrics say, "I replay the past". Other album/TV show examples I remember with similar lines, where both the episode and album continually restart when they end...
"Take me back to the start"
"I'm going round in circles all the time"
"In the end it's only round and round and round")

These were all excellent, especially Dark Side Of The Moon, but I recommend being familiar with the episode first, as some of the coincidences are with what the characters are talking about. With this TV show there is often a lot of sitting around talking, but this one has more action scenes than average.

Almost certainly this episode will synchronise with more albums, well worth experimenting.

DARK SIDE OF THE MOONLIGHT

I've been meaning to try an episode of the TV show 'Moonlight' with the Pink Floyd album 'Dark Side Of The Moon'. I was watching one of the episodes and the main character Mick says he grew up in this town where a boy disappeared. This reminded me of the line from the song 'Time'...

"Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town"

This was episode 1.15 'What's left behind'. I tried it with the album and it DID indeed synchronise. It had a bit of a slow portion in the middle, the song 'Money' barely synchronised at all, but it was awesome in places. Overall I'd say it is a mild to average synchronicity.

However, since there are scenes of war in the episode I also tried it with the Pink Floyd album 'The Final Cut'. This ALSO synchronised, but was a lot better. The war scenes especially were excellent with the war album soundtrack, but overall it synchronised very well and fairly constantly.

Eg. at the line
"It can't be much fun for them beneath the rising sun"
the man's son is lifted up, then it cuts to a shot of the sun rising.

Or when the lyrics say
"Would you take the children away and leave me alone? And smile in reassurance as you whisper down the 'phone"
the man who took the child away (and other children in the past) is talking to Mick on the 'phone, whilst his father left alone is crying in the background.

The song 'Not now John' is fitting as Mick's surname is St. John, and plays as he rushes off after being told to wait for the police first.

There is a strong possibility the episode will ALSO synchronise with the Pink Floyd album 'The Wall' as the child is bricked up behind a wall, and at the end Mick TEARS DOWN THE WALL! Smiling

Hmmm, interesting, I was just thinking how in the story Mick thinks he is the father of the missing boy's father, and the episode being called 'What's left behind' reminds me of the line from The Wall...

"Daddy, what did you leave behind for me?"

I don't have the album, but it is available on the internet (synchronised with the film 'Alice In Wonderland'). I'll give it a try sometime, unless someone else wants to try who has the album, as the internet video with the album needs to be constantly checked - as it doesn't always play at the right speed and keeps falling behind. (I know this because I've used it to find two additional albums that synchronise with that film, and had to keep pausing the audio every few minutes to let the video catch up.)

Not now John, but maybe soon....

Just noticed an interesting theme....

Terminator: 'Judgment day' end of the world connected to John Connor.
Bible: 'Judgment day' end of the world connected to saint John.
The final Cut: Nuclear holocaust end of the world connected to 'Not now John'.

Watching lots of synchronicities, especially the magic TV episodes, you begin see there is a pattern behind all audio and video. This same pattern may also be behind reality as a whole, so the synchronicities can actually predict the future.

Chuck On The Tracks

Thanks for sharing the synchronicity barosjn, I've added it to the list, I don't have either the album or the TV show though, so can't give my opinion.

I've never seen the TV show Jericho, but try it and let me know if anything works out. Generally connections like you said turn out to lead you to excellent synchronicities. Amusingly your favourite albums will probably synchronise with your favourite TV shows, so you should try looking there first.

I found another too. Episode 1.13 of CHUCK, 'Chuck versus the Marlin' synchronises with Bob Dylan's 'Blood On The Tracks'. It misses out track 6 'Meet me in the morning'. Not sure about on repeat plays though, only watched it for one album play. Track 7 starts at episode time 25:15 in case you forget to skip track 6.

There are quite obvious coincidences, like our guy Chuck walks into work to find EVERYTHING has been stolen - the room is completely bare. He rushes off to his locker where he had kept an irreplacable ring for Captain Awesome, but it too is gone, while the lyrics say...
"He woke up, the room was bare,
he didn't see her anywhere.
He told himself he didn't care, threw the window open wide,
felt that emptiness inside to which he just could not relate,
brought on by a simple twist of fate."
Then the Captain calls him on his mobile 'phone (a "parrot that talks" Smiling ) surely wanting his ring back soon, whilst the lyrics say...
"But I lost the ring!"

And the idiot guy persuades another guy to go and get and even pour him some grape juice, whilst the lyrics say...
"We're idiots babe, it's a wonder we can even feed ourselves."

So the synchronicity is fairly literal throughout. Smiling

I Never Thought This Would Happen...

It's good that all of the television syncs will be grouped here instead of getting all mixed in with the movie syncs. I posted a TV episode sync a moment ago that would be worth trying out for all of the coincidences between the story of the episode and the tale told in the corresponding concept album. The episode is the finale in Season 02 of Dark Angel ("Freak Nation") and the album is Year Zero from Nine Inch Nails. The audio and video components in the sync are just about equal in length (1:03:51), so start both ingredients up at the same time. For more details about how this synchronization works, check out my aforementioned post (http://www.synchronicityarkive.com/node/817).

Kill me Sarah

The latest I found 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' with Radiohead's 'OK Computer' was quite obvious, starting with a car driving, and the friendly Computer killing machine and paranoid androids, and (karma) police after them too, and lyrics like...
"Kill me Sarah, kill me again"

I can imagine 'The Final Cut' by Pink Floyd would likely synchronise with episodes too, especially the last episode of a season, with the song 'Not now John'. Smiling

Another place to try The Final Cut

Ever tried the album with an episode of Jericho? I just wonder because it ends in a nuclear holocaust, and Jericho is about nuclear fallout. For that matter, The Final Cut and Amused to Death really should be tested with a lot of films/shows that involve some sort of man-made armageddon. I would really wonder if either synchs with I am Legend.

All the bad things in life only help you appreciate the good even more.
