Synchronicity Arkive

Have you ever notice?

Community (Open)

Have you ever noticed there are only about 2 or 3 users online at one time and there are 32 or more guests? When ever i check there are at least 30 but its odd that so many guests are on at a consistant rate.

I'm always amused by the thought that one of our synchs could spread and become a hit among college freshman and we might never know about it.

guests...

are just sessions to the site that haven't actually logged on. In other words, people who are just viewing that never created an account.

Honestly, based on the hit counts and stuff, I don't know that the #'s are 100% accurate, but neither are they totally inaccurate. I think you'll find that a good chunk of the internet falls into the "viewer" category, for most sites that they visit, rather than participant. I think I've talked about that idea before, that the internet is kind of like the ocean, with this tiny surface that you see, but huge depths underneath, that you really don't see, and yet influence people nonetheless.

Based on those hit counts, the Arkive still does get a pretty good traffic flow... not like a site like BoingBoing maybe, but not too bad really.
