R.I.P. Arthur C. Clarke

Synchronicity Discussion

Arthur C. Clarke died in Sri Lanka at 1:30 this morning. I'm sure no one here needs to be reminded of just how important he was; he was a towering figure in the world of science as a writer of both fiction and nonfiction, and we will be lucky to see his kind again. I hope he's out cruising with Dave Bowman as we speak.

Scientist

Mr. Clarke lived to the ripe old age of 90. I hope to live just as long and help just as many people as he did. Mr. Clarke wrote "2001: A Space Odyssey" BEFORE people set foot on the moon. He and Walter Cronkite were the TV anchors for the television coverage of the Apollo mission to the moon. Far out!
