Synch Ideas for I Am Legend

Share Your Synchs

I Am Legend, the 3rd film adaptation of the classic novel, came out not to long ago, and i was pondering wether or not to purchase it. I saw a synch for The Last Man on Earth, the first adaptation, but haven't seen one for The Omega Man. But i digress, do any of you have an idea for I Am Legend?

I thought about using La Sexorcisto by White Zombie because of the 8th track, also titled I Am Legend, is based of the novel as well. Any other ideas?

my synch?

Hey, G. Have you seen my "Last Man On Earth" synch? Good luck with your "I Am Legend" project, I haven't seen that movie yet.

*bang* I'm dead.

The final part

Interesting, at the end of Dark Side Of The Moon I started Pink Floyd's 'The Final Cut' instead, and it has synchronised so far (though I'm still half way through watching it).

Just wanted to point out the message the guy transmits...

"I've can provide food, I can provide shelter and I can provide security"

and the line from the album...

"A place to stay, enough to eat, somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street"

The Cure?

I've just watched the film, and I thought I'd do a little experimenting. The most obvious choice was...

'I Will Cure You' by Vic Reeves

since the film starts with a cure for cancer and ends with a cure for the disease caused by the cure. There is also a song about a dog dying on the album called 'Empty kennel', and also the dog dies in the film.

I tried it and it did indeed synchronise, however it wasn't very constant. I only watched it for one album play though, it may be better on a repeat. I doubt very many people have a copy of this album though.

Another possibility is...

'Dark Side Of The Moon' by Pink Floyd.

I supposed this because the song 'Time' begins with alarm bells, and around the same time in the film the alarm goes off on the guy's watch then we see a picture of him on the cover of 'TIME magazine'.

I'm watching it at the moment, it DOES seem to synchronise, it's a bit slow at the start but gets better as it goes along. But that's the way it normally is with this album though. The problem is I've not been paying much attention, as I've been writing this, I really need to watch it again.

Hmmm. The album just ended, it will probably start again as the guy looked at his watch at the exact moment it ended, with many other audio/visual synchronicities someone looks at their watch at the exact moment an album ends and restarts.

So there are two for a start, but as I said it needs examining further, I've not been paying much attention.

synchronicity?

Woah this was really weird, i was taking out my garbage and i found a copy of Legend by Bob Marely in my garbage can. I have never owned a copy, this is extremely odd because i rented I Am Legend the same day. Im going to watch I Am Legend and La sexorcisto then with Legend. I will post results tomarrow or later on in the week.

Sync Segments for IAL

I was thinking about the track listings for Legend by Bob Marley while driving home yesterday. One track that stood out is during "Kinky Reggae". The line "I went downtown...." shot through my head but unfortunately, when I got home Kinky Reggae is not on Legend. Strange...It SHOULD be I love that song! But still I would think that some of the tunes still may sync up to IAL. I need coffee..

Legend

When it comes to sync discoveries...is there too obvious? I suppose there could be. I would even think something by John Legend. All part of the brainstorming process but the proof is in the setup. I would love to hear that something by Will.I.Am went with IAL.

'...the proof is in the setup...'

Ive only seen the film once, when it was in the cinema, but from what i remember it has potential. There is quite a few slow sections i think so id concentrate on the end maybe?

Too obvious...?

In the film, Will Smith's character holds up a CD calling it "...the best album ever made."

The album is Bob Marley's "Legend."

Hands Down

If that WERE to sync up, I believe that would be hands down the best sync film name around! Cheers...

Will.I.Am.Legend

Ive never heard any of his stuff and i dont think it would really suit but how about some solo stuff by the guy out of Black Eye Peas...then you could call the synch - "Will.I.Am.Legend" !
