Found another film/album synchronicity....

Film: 1408 (The Director's Cut)
Album: 'Meddle' by Pink Floyd

The album may start again when it ends, alternatively 'The Final Cut' also by Pink Floyd MAY start instead/as well.

Films and TV shows that synchronise with Meddle always seem to have images from the film '2001:A Space Odyssey', especially from the final scene which also synchronises with the last song on the album, 'Echoes'. For example notice how the mysterious 'room 1408' resembles the equally mysterious room Dave ended up in, and in particular notice the black rectangular block (the tape recorder) which is constantly seen throughout the film, and resembles the monolith.

The first five songs synchronise with the events leading up to the guy entering the mysterious room. For example...

"Open a book, take a look at the way things stand"
as the hotel manager gives the guy the book about the room and tells him to read it before deciding he wants to stay there.

Then 'Echoes' begins, and the creepyness of the music goes excellently with the creepyness of the room, the few lyrics too synchronise wonderfully. For example...

"No-one showed us to the land, and no-one knows the where or whys. But something stirs and something tries, and starts to climb towards the light..."
as the guy enters the mysterious room and turns on the light. (He also had to find his own way there, as the manager refused to go near it.)

"Through the window in the wall come streaming in on sunlight wings a million bright ambassadors of morning. And no-one sings me lullabies and no-one makes me close my eyes. And so I throw the windows wide and call to you across the sky"
as the guy looks out of the window and calls to the guy in the room opposite.

Overall very good, though it needs further examination.

Another possibility I thought of either for after Meddle or repeating throughout the film is 'The Man Who' by Travis. This is mainly due to the song 'Driftwood' with lyrics like "You're driftwood floating underwater...oceans tide you home...you really didn't think it would happen but it really is the end of the line" as the guy is floating in the sea and gets washed up on the beach and apparently escapes room 1408 (in fact this scene happens twice in the film, indicating perhaps the album also repeats). Other things about the album make it likely to synchronise as well.

Or even 'Hail To The Thief' by Radiohead. There are some creepy songs on the album, and I can just imagine lyrics like "It's the devil's way now, there is no way out. You can scream and you can shout, but it's too late now... because YOU HAVE NOT BEEN PAYING ATTENTION!" as the guy sees the hotel manager shouting at him something like, "I TOLD you not to mess with that room!" Smiling (Be aware this album usually begins from track 6 'Where I end and you begin' and cycles around so that is the end of the album as well.)

Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd has some creepy music too, well worth trying. Radiohead's latest album 'In Rainbows' is great with creepy stuff too, or their album 'Kid A' is another, especially since the guy had a kid who keeps appearing in the film. Or even Pink Floyd's 'The Wall', as the room becomes completely sealed behind a wall. Just some possibilities in case anyone wants to try, but I'll likely try them myself some time.
