A Momentary Mother of all Meddles with 2001

Synch DB 2.0

Welcome to an alternate reality. You have been sucked into the Pink Floyd Odyssey called "A Momentary Mother of all Meddles with 2001". This synchronism uses "2001:A Space Odyssey" Collectors Edition with the intermission and ENTR'ACTE included. It covers the entire movie. Every thing is harmonious but the end is loose with this psychodelic rock.

Unpause track 1 of "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" when MGM logo fades to black at the beginning of the movie. Play tracks in this order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6a, 10, 7, 8,and 9. This part of the three album synch is called "A Momentary Lapse of 2001 Space Odyssey". Note Track 10 follows 6a. 2%David of the web site "Unusual Synchs" discovered "A Momentary Lapse of 2001 Space Odyssey". Karl recommends that Track 10 follows 6a

To cover the middle of "2001", play "Atom Heart Mother". Play tracks in this scrambled order: 5, 2, 3, 4, and 1. It starts right when the other synch ends were the sun is seen above the monolith on the moon. This synch seems to be more of a mood synch. Karl recommends fixing bacon, eggs, and toast to eat with orange juice while watching the beginning of this synch. You have been invited to breakfast. It will be a synchronism of the five senses. Sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. Karl tried it like this in the morning and it was so good! Karl calls this simultaneity "Mission Mother"

To finish out the movie, play "Meddle" tracks 1 and 6 as soon as the previous synch ends. Then you have a choice for the finale. You can play track 2, 3, or 4. Track 2 and 3 lyrics end at the same critical point. 4’s music ends a little short. Track 5 does not seem to synch at all at this point in the movie. Karl calls this synch "Meddle Beyond the Infinite". This version of "Echoes" is closer to the traditional "Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite" starting point.

You need a programmable CD player to do this well. The CD player will fight you if you do a manual manipulation. Some tracks will not skip ahead. Some tracks send you to the next CD the instant they finish. So program the player. Now all you have to do is sit back and enjoy this wonderful symbiosis of music and movie.

Echo of a Distant Thought

Synch DB 2.0

As soon as you hear the first music note just before you see the moon at the beginning of the movie, start track 6 “Echoes”.

Now go back in the movie. As soon as you see the apes at the watering hole for the first time, start track 5 “Seamus”.

As soon as you first see “Computer Malfunction” start track 1 “One of these Days”

As soon as Dave reaches to right after he realizes that HAL won’t let him in and he has to go back in through the air lock, start track 3 “Fearless”.

As soon as the first blink of the eye in the eyeball transition from psychedelic space to the psychedelic helicopter ride, start track 2 “Pillow of Winds”.

HAL and Dave are drifting about, just chewing the fat when they start reminiscing about singing songs. HAL has a personal favorite.

HAL asks, "If you would like to hear it, I can sing it for you."

Stunned, Dave replies, "Yes HAL. I'd like to hear it. Sing it for me!"

Drunk with nostalgia, HAL says, It's called 'Daisy'."

As soon as HAL starts singing the first word "Daisy", start track 6 "Echoes".

Now go back in the movie. 1 minute and 56 seconds after “Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite” appears, start Track 4 “San Tropez”.

JAWS LIKE SWIMMING- A synch by Jaydingo

| Featured Synchs

On repeat, simply play the cd the second the Universal logo fades from screen. In my opinion, this plays alot like DSotR in the sense that the 1st play through is amazing, 2nd is great, the 3rd....not so much. The 1st play through alone has over 40 hard synch occurances! I hope the community here at The Arkive will give my little discovery a viewing of their own. Enjoy & your gonna need a bigger boat!

"Dark Side Dub the Rainbow"

Featured Synchs

"Dark Side Dub the Rainbow" - by fEaRnOaRt

Follow the same set up instructions as "Dark Side of the Rainbow" and you can refer to the definitive list for over 101 syncing cues... I'm sure you find a few new ones as I have! "Dub Side of the Moon's" timeing is exactly the same as "Dark Side" so all syncing cues remain the same... just alittle reggae flav... meet the real Rasta Lion!
I suggest you copy both albums into an audio software package like "Sound Forge" to meld the albums together, you can even imbellish the intros & exits like I have.. Although you can loop "Dub Side" to see whats going on here, I prefer to use the combonation of:
"Dark Side" - "Dub Side" and back to "Dark Side" for the conclusion "OZ"... try it Mon!

The Last Man On EA#rth (Slow InF#inity)

| Featured Synchs

Start "F#A#" after "American International Television" fades to black (I believe it's at 0:00:13). Turn the film's volume up at 0:55:46 or so (when the silence on track 3 begins). When you hear the music coming back in, mute the film again. When the album ends, pause the movie and start "Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada". There's a lot of music left, I usually fade it out. Enjoy.
